I should say that it is NOT the PTA that is changing the Ice Cream Social, we all want to have it, as in past years. It is an important event to kick off the school year and start community building for the coming year.
And the kids really look forward to this event!! It is one of the most attended of the whole year. Sorry to see it go by the waistside.
Voice your opinion with me if you want to have it re-instated.

I wanted us to have it too, thats why we are having it.. just smaller and with meet the teacher day. :)
Theres going to be a dessert social though, I guess.
it's not the same though and the teachers aren't dishing out the ice cream. that is what the kids really like!
And lots of families are still out of town and going to miss it. that is why is the first friday AFTER school starts! I'm publically complaining and making myself heard that it sucks!
