What to do?

The sun is finally out and I can't decide what to do first! Hudson and I are on our own all day and we're sitting here stymied with so many project that need worked on. It is quite chilly up here still also and I'm thinking I want to wait for it get above freezing before heading out side. I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold. I don't like it! But I am VERY excited to see the sun out.

Where is my daughter?

So Spring Break is under way now. Chloe is already on her first sleep tonight. We will have her home for 2 days only and all of the other days she is gone. I love that she can go to anyones home and feel comfortable and not home sick but I miss her after a while. And Hudson really misses her, he loves his big sister.

I know, I could tell her no she can't go but she has such a great opportunity to spend time with her cousins, Aunt Di & Uncle Dan. She loves going over to her cousin, Daniel, house. She makes great memories over there and has really formed strong bonds with her extended family.

She is very fortunate to have family close that she can stay with.

BUT I still miss her!

Why Test for Radon?

According to the Surgeon General of the United States, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer within the USA.

Radon is estimated to cause about 21,000 lung cancer deaths per year, according to EPA's 2003 Assessment of Risks from Radon in Homes (EPA 402-R-03-003). The numbers of deaths from other causes are taken from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's 1999-2001 National Center for Injury Prevention and Control Report and 2002 National Safety Council Reports.

Only smoking causes more lung cancer deaths, but if your home has high radon levels and you smoke, then your risk of lung cancer is especially high. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the American Lung Association agree that long term exposure to elevated levels of radon pose a significant health risk to you and your family. Therefore, since radon is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas, the only way to determine if radon is in your home is by testing.
